Q: How about your time in prison, you were in solitary confinement most of the time I believe. A: That's right the whole time. Q: You never heard or saw any of your fellow prisoners? A: I only heard one who was in the cell next door but one to me I recognised him by his footsteps. CU Sanders smoking. Q: Mr Vogler mentioned in a book he wrote Mr. Sanders, about the cold water treatment. Did you ever experience that? A: No I don't know what cold water treatment is because I haven't heard about the cold water treatment. I was put into a cell with a stool pigeon during the interrogation and he was talking to me about cold water treatment. They make them drink cold water as many glasses as they can. But I never experienced that. The only cold water treatment I experienced was washing in the morning. CU Mrs Sanders drinking tea. Q: How about the general treatment of you in the prison? CU. Sanders A: I had no personal fear of being maltreated at all. They threatened of course. They threatened all sorts of things it was just one of the ways of interrogation to try and get information. Sanders & Carter. Q: And what about your creature comforts in the prison Mr. Sanders? Did you get anything like a cup of tea, which is coming over to you now? A: I had tea, but it wasn't English tea. CU Sanders drinking tea. Q: I see, what are your plans now? A: Well I' d like to take a holiday on the continent but it wouldn't be very far east on the continent. | |
