CV. Lave hard at it, hitting Bygraves with left and rights. CV. Boxer Freddie Mills looking on. GV. Boxers in a clinch. Referee tells them to break and Lave delivers punch. SV. Lave still hard at it, punching Bygraves with left and right. CV. Ted Ray, radio and TV comedian, watching with excitement. He puts his hand to his head as though he had received the punch. GV. Bygraves on the floor. He tries to get up but changes his mind and goes down again on one knee. Referee is counting and moves towards Lave. SV. Time keeper holding the hammer for the bell. He strikes it twice. SV. Boxers sparring in the ring in the last round, both looking for an opening, but neither does anything. GV. The end moment of the last round. Both boxers very tired swopping ineffective punches, though Lave connects with a right shot which sends Bygraves against the ropes. The bell should be inserted on the track as Lave delivers a crack to Bygraves' head though his hands are down. Bygraves then turns round and delivers a swift right and left to Lave's face. Lave rubs his chin as Bygraves walks back to the corner. Referee holds up Bygraves' hand and he walks across to make his peace with Lave who is still rubbing his chin. Bygraves wins on points. | |
