| Description: | ENGLISH VINEYARD Vineyard at South of England produces its own wine 'Hambledon Wine' Hambledon, Hampshire. A great L/S of a country house with a vineyard in front of it. People are seen picking white grapes. Although the vineyard looks great, the grapes are too small and too green. This vineyard belongs to Mayor-General Sir Guy Salisbury Jones, Her Majesty Marshall of the Diplomatic Corps and he even has a licence to sell the wine he produces, "Hambledon Wine" - but who will buy it? People are putting grapes into great looking wooden baskets which are emptied into barrels. When barrels are full, they take them to Mr Salisbury's gardener Mr Blackman who is responsible for the wine making process. Mr Blackman is seen crushing the grapes and squeezing juice on the large mechanical 'juice maker' - looks like a large meat mincer. Interesting top shots of the grapes disappearing in the machine. Succession of shots highlights some of the stages of the wine making process. Grapes are seen being crushed, juice squeezed, juice being poured into the jug and 'wine' being poured into a cask to mature. It does not look attractive at all. | |
