| Description: | MISSING 5/18/2004 ENTER ROTA Mr and Mrs Thomson of Pinner with their pet lion Rota (could be the one given to Churchill). Pinner, Middlesex. C/U of a lion seen through the bars of a cage. A sign on a garden door reads "Beware - Lion". George Thomson, his wife and a group of friends come into the garden and we see various shots of them playing with their pet lion 'Rota' and looking at it in its cage (which is pretty small for a 2-year-old king of the jungle). Mr Thomson won Rota in a bet. Note: this is possibly the lion called Rota that was later presented to Winston Churchill and was kept at London Zoo for him. | |
