Woman pours steaming water from a pitcher into the bowl. She adds a small flat piece of Zinc. She finally puts pieces of tarnished silver into the steaming mixture and jiggles them a bit. Next (after "a few minutes' dip") she removes silver from the mixture and wipes it with a cloth. It has become noticeably more clean and shiny. Housework; housewives. | |
