| Description: | A promotional/advertising reel for AmPro, a movie projector company. Opens with product shots of radios, motion picture cameras, speakers, and other communications equipment from the 1950's. The narrator discusses the goals of communication before addressing the purpose of AmPro and how they function. Some fascinating shots include: MS of a woman answering a phone in an office; product shot of candy bars (Snickers, Milky Way,etc.); product shot of Spam and related canned meats; LS's of Public Service buildings and busy urban scenes; LS of kids running from school entrance; MS of a switchboard operator; LS's of modes of transportation (planes, trains, automobiles, ships). MS of a disassembled movie projector on a table, followed by CU's and a narrated description of what each component does (includes a great ECU of film pasing through sprockets, image gate, and sound styllus). There is also a diagram on how the projector's shutter operates, a CU of film cans, and a synopsis of what an AmPro sales rep does for the customer and some tools of the trade (shading guards, focal length lenses,etc.). Fabulous colors. ON CASSETTE # 97887. | |
