| Description: | "A bright verse or two from Kenneth & George Western." L/S's of the two brothers (one plays the piano while the other stands next to him). They sing a comical song called 'It was Agony !'. L/S of the audience watching the two entertainers (they are quite upper class looking). "Lots of ladies would like to have the slim and flexible figure of the lady in the next item - (Mira and Karinoff). L/Ss of Mira performing some impossible looking bending movement with her body in front if the audience, she is aided by her partner Karinoff. Their finale involves Mira bending her arms and arching her back to such an extent that she can grab her legs from behind. Karinoff then picks her up in and raises her above his head. L/S's of the crowd sitting at tables clapping the performers. Intertitle reads: "And now the records have just arrived, a Real Regal Feat of Speed." Good M/Ss of the audience seated at tables with glasses of wine and empty plates in front of them. A man hands over the newly recorded gramophone discs. Very good M/Ss of people dancing. Intertitle reads: "Remember the Song - 'It always starts to rain'? Here's one of the Composers - Leslie Holmes, in another popular number - you'll recognise this tune." Several shots of Leslie singing. He receives a big round of applause from the audience when he finishes the song. | |
