| Description: | NO AUDIO For the first time in the United States, four rare Risso's Dolphins go on display at Marine land, Florida. Their strange markings are caused by teeth wounds from other dolphins. They were found aground on the beach 75 miles away from their new home. Establishing shot - The head of a Risso Dolphin sticking out of the water, His skin looks like its pretty scared up. MS - The Risso Dolphin and the Bottle Nose Dolphin jump to retrieve a fish together. CU - A diver feeding the Dolphins under water. MCU - People watching the diver and the Dolphins through the windows of an underwater viewing station. CU - A different angle of the diver feeding the Dolphins. CU - The skin of the Risso Dolphin. You can see that it's pretty scared up, but I believe this is a very natural for these creatures to have this scaring. CU - The Risso Dolphin jumps up to retrieve a fish by himself and gets it. MS - When their side by side you can see that the heads are not the same and the body weight is by far heavier then the Bottle Nose Dolphin. Note: His skin looks like its pretty scared up. But according to research, the Risso Dolphins is usually dark gray with extensive white scarring. As calves, their bodies are a uniform light gray, which then darkens to a brownish-gray in juveniles. They also appear different than the Bottle Nose Dolphins. The Risso Dolphin is a robust dolphin and they have a rounded head, very similar in shape to the pilot whale. | |
