Catering staff unload big tins of food from a truck. C/U of a soldier holding a small tin with the words 'The 24 Hour Ration' on it. He takes out the contents - they are all wrapped in paper. A soldier finds a clearing in the countryside and cooks field rations on an individual Tommy stove. He pours water in his mess tin and puts it on the stove. He then takes out little cubes from another tin (the 24 hour rations!). He shows the camera one cube labelled 'Tea' then crumbles it into the water on the stove.
