A sketch of a hat from Paris is seen turning round and round as it is sent over the airwaves. At a receiving station we see the sketch coming through (early fax machine). A milliner works to recreate the hat, designed by Suzanne Talbot. It has vine leaves sticking up from the brim. The leaves are adjusted while a model wears it. A sketch of a hat by Rose Descat fades into the real thing - a geometric-style hat with one long, straight feather. A sketch of a hat by Agnes fades into shot of a model wearing the finished hat. It is in black and white, with two large sections coming out at the side, resembling wings (much nicer than it sounds, and quite ahead of its time - could pass for a 1950s design). | |
