| Description: | "FERVOUR! Remarkable scenes at public baptism of Negro Converts in the Missouri River". M/S of several Afro-American men standing up to their waists in a river, one of the men appears to the preaching to a crowd on the river bank. With the help of another man the preacher dunks a woman dressed in white in the water, she coughs and splutters and is helped to the bank. High angled shot of the group on the bank - they clap and sing. M/S of people on the bank, a woman dances and sings wildly; she appears to be completely carried away with the atmosphere of the occasion. M/S of another woman being baptised in the water by the preacher and his assistant, as she re-emerges she waves her hands in air ecstatically and has to be supported by the men as she walks out of the river.
