| Description: | Holland turns a hitherto useless industrial waste into the basis for a new industry. Blast-furnace slag is reprocessed into a mineral wool-like, insulating material. This looks like fiberglass to me. A large melting pot pouring out melted down industrial waste into huge piles of raw stuff. MS - A dump truck and a man standing amidst of this cooled down of industrial raw waste, shoveling this stuff into a cart. MCUS - The slag goes into a furnace and it is heated to 3,000 degrees. MCUS - High pressure steam blasting this melted down, stringy industrial waste. MCUS - This stringy industrial waste, now looks fluffy (like fiberglass). A factory worker takes this stuff and pulls it apart like cotton candy. MCUS - Bails of this fiberglass looking stuff. | |
