| Description: | Underwater. Belize Fish, Spotted Scorpionfish (Scorpaena plumieri plumieri), resting among the coral. Excellent example of camouflage. It looks just like a rock. Pair of fish (unidentified species) near the sandy bottom. They seem to be involved in a courtship ritual (mating). Parrotfish eating coral. Swims towards other fish which are also picking at the coral. School of very small fish hide in the coral. Nice shot of the head of a Trumpetfish (Aulostomus maculatus) as it sinks & blends in with the coral (camouflage). Trumpetfish (Aulostomus maculatus) hides in the staghorn coral. | |
