2ft. fade in. LS Scene with flowers in f.g. and trees in b.g The WRAC band is seen marching out from behind trees. They continue to march across the lawn. MCS.Shows band coming into frame. headed by Drum Major. She passes out of frame and is followed by various members of the band. MLS Shows band marching towards camera and going on either side of camera. The last musician playing clarinet leaves frame. MLS Drum Major marching into frame followed by front line musicians. She halts and puts baton on ground. CU Man wearing close fitting flying helmet - director of operations. Raises whistle to his lips and bowls blast. He lowers whistle from mouth and shouts command Arms up! LS Runway with various planes with their wings folded upwards. A number of men are seen running towards planes one ground pulling wagon which contains rockets. MCS. Three men pulling wagon containing rockets towards camera. They halt by side of plane and lift rocket off wagon.MCS. Men fixing rocket on to plane.MCU Man removing cap from end of rocket. MCS.Man pushing back perspec hood of plane and picking up straps of seat. MCS.Man removing covers from jet of plane LS One man running underneath jet of plane. Another man rushing to the back and removes two covers from jet-vents. MCS.Two men by equipment(electrical booster or starter?) MCS.Two men by wheel of plane. One man is lying by the chocks the other man is holding pipe with a section under plane. He gives Thumbs up sign. MCU Pilots (two) studying orders. Camera pans over to show navigators by their sides. LS Men pushing away empty wagon which had contained rockets and there is much activity as they rush out of pic. MCS.Pilot and navigators rushing out of pic. with helmets in hands. LS Planes. Pilots rush into frame and throw helmets at person waiting by plane MCS.Pilot running towards camera and throwing helmet as he runs. He is followed by mechanic. MCS.Pilot getting into front seat of plane followed by navigator who gets rear seat and disappears from view. Assistant standing at side of plane moves strap from behind pilot and fixes him in. CU Director who is watching procedure. CU Assistant by side of plane handing pilot helmet. Pilot pulls this on head and assistant removes pin from behind pilot's seat. MS Man standing on runway giving signals. He raises arms above head. He brings them down and spread them on either side of him in the Chocks away position. MLS Front of planes and ground crew running out of frame with chocks. Plane moves slowly forward out of frame. LS Back of men in f.g. waving arms from above head to down sides which is Lower wings. Plane proceeds to lower wings as it moves slowly forward. Man in f.g. points right arm to right which is Handing over to director. MCS.Director beckoning plane forward with hands. LS First man in f.g. pointing plane towards director. As plane moves slowly out of frame we see that wings are fully down. MLS Three men waiting on runway with flaps up. LS Plane moving forward to waiting men by flaps. MCS.Man kneeling on ground in running start position with other men by flaps in b.g. LS Plane taxiing into position by men at flaps. MCD.Director beckoning plane forward with hand. LS Plane getting into position and the men moving underneath it. MCS.Man putting catapult apparatus on to rod under plane. They move away to stern of plane. MCS.Man fixing catapult on to underside of plane givesThumbs up sign. MCS.Director who moves arms from above head and points hand behind him. MS Two men who now take over Director's duties. One man is holding up sign which says Check Cockpit Brakes and Flaps. The other man is standing by his side holding flag. He raises flag and points it at other man's board. Man with board then moves out of pic. LS Plane in b.g. and man on one knee near camera. He gives Away sign to ground crew under plane. They proceed to run out of pic. and kneeling men turns round and gives Thumbs up sign to man with flag. MCS Man with flags. He looks round and gives the Away sign. Low angle.MCS.Nose of plane passing over camera into take-off.
