Opens with shot of three boys walking alongside river. Shot of torrents of water in the flooded river; and a car nearly buried in mid-river with branches tangled in it. Pensford: a big lake of water houses next to it. Camera moves back along the water to show a bridge knocked out, looks like just a rope hanging between the banks. A man and woman walking down a village street. Men working on some furniture outside. Shot of window with seaweed or something caught in it. Inside a house; a mess. A tall cabinet lies on floor; other things haphazardly piled all towards one corner. Outside a house with a huge part of wall ripped off; ladders leaning on building. Two men walk by with shovels. Another shot inside a house with rubble on floor. Men working shoveling wreckage; also a big bulldozer lifting up piles of bricks etc. Old man wiping off armchair outside. Woman squeezing out a rag in a bucket in her house; trying to clean up. Another woman cleaning something in the sink.
