M/S of the doorway to Gerald Road police station with the traditional police lamp outside. M/S of a poster advertising the police force, it has a picture of a smiling policeman holding a booklet saying 'A career with the Metropolitan Police'. Above it is the slogan 'There's No Better Job'. M/S of the doorway again, the camera pans down to show a hanging basket of pink flowers. P.C. Taylor walks out of the door. M/S of P.C. Taylor with a watering can, he starts to water pink flowers in a long trough. There are other window boxes and climbing plants around it, the flowers on display include Morning Glory, geraniums, fuchsia, begonias and lobelia. The narrator says Sergeant Slee and P.C. Hart are responsible for this display and several people take it in turns to tend the flowers. C/U profile of P.C. Taylor, the camera moves down to the pink flowers he is watering. M/S as he finishes watering and puts the can down. He holds one of the flowers and starts to snip it off. L/S as a policewoman walks up to him, they start talking. M/S of them chatting and laughing. M/S of the policewoman walking into the station. M/S of P.C. Taylor tending a window box. L/S as he carries on tending to the flowers, a police motorcyclist drives past and another policeman walks up the street into the station. C/U of pink and red blossoms. The narrator tells us this station has won the Westminster Gardeners Guild Cup for two years running. C/U of a yellow flower and purple blossom. C/U of bright red blossoms. M/S from a low angle of the hanging basket under the police lamp in the doorway. | |
