CUs Scientist takes tiny circular saw and starts to cut off top of egg. CU Scientist's face. CU Top of egg. MS Scientist replaces drill. MS Another Scientist brings in two bottles and gives them to other scientist. Scientist takes off top of egg and uses pipette to drop paraffin on it (this is to test the egg for fertility). CU Man's hand. CU Paraffin being poured onto egg. MS Man replaces pipette and takes hypodermic needle with influenza virus. CU Egg tweezers and hypodermic comes into picture. MS Man places a little cap on top of egg and puts into stand with other inoculated eggs. MS Man's hand moves stand from table. MS Man going up to incubator and puts eggs into it and moves out of picture (L. to R.) The eggs are kept for 2-3 days, then removed from incubator and the infected fluids are drawn off, and a test for presence of virus is performed. MS Woman scientist seated at bench with pipette and tray of small receptacles; she fills pipette with the liquid from eggs which is in a test tube and drops this into the tiny receptacles.. Cu She fills pipette with blood from a small beaker and adds this to the receptacles in the tray. CU Woman scientist's face. CU pan along tray of tiny cups where the test is being performed.
