| Description: | A male teen drives a clearly labeled drivers ed car through the suburbs and stops at a high school where he, his instructor and two teen passengers get out and get into the school. Thus begins this drivers ed/ tire industrial film. After a lengthy classroom talk between instructor and teen students about automobile tires he takes them outside to the car and shows them how to maintain tires. There are several CU's of tires (all low angle and in use) as well as illustrated diagrams of tires and automobile undercarriages. Other shots include: LS of male teens in uniform playing basketball in school gym.... MS of male teen driving through the burbs.... MS of instructor and male teen playing a rousing game of "snatch the quarter from my hand" .... LS of a passenger car speeding on a runway, hits a ramp and leaps over puffs of smoke ... ECU of a damaged tire (torn sidewall) ... a tire test lab montage (scientists test tires; spin a tire @ 200mph until it blows up, a steel pipe puncture test, a gratuitous pressure and vibration tests)..... another montage of several cars going 120mph day and night as scientists watch on.... ice and snow tests for traction, desert tests against extreme heat, stop tests on water and panic stops, and extreme swerves tests on conventional highways.... CU's of keys, a foot tapping on th gorund, pressure gauges, and tire valves. | |
