| Description: | "FOR THIS RELIEF - ". In the Bavarian Alps we see bales of hay being carried up snowy mountains underneath a cable car. The food is dropped onto the high ground so that deer can feed when the ground is frozen. In Idaho, United States of America, hay is loaded onto a biplane and dropped to the snowy ground for deer. A man spreads the food about so the animals feed easily. In the North Sea, 50 miles from Bremerhaven, Germany we see a relief man being transported from a boat to a lighthouse in a basket on a winch. Twenty-eight miles from Cape Cod we see men on the Nantucket Lightship. A tender ship has travelled out 110 miles to bring reading matter, mail and supplies to the crew. | |
