Fires burn more than 65,000 square acres of Los Padres National Forest for ten days before they're brought under control. Now the hills hold another threat, floods. Dept. of Agriculture initiates a giant reseeding project for the burnt out park area. 500,000 lbs. of special grass seed mixture is sprayed onto the ground, just in time for rainy season. Devastating view of the fires engulfing the forest of California Aerial shot - Plane flying over the fires recording the locations of the fires. Aerial - As the plane flies over the burning forest a huge cloud of smoke emerges off the passengers side of the plane. Aerial - looking down at burned out forest. The small airport's landing strip a plane lands and men are loading up the plane with a special mixture of grass seed, Aerial - Looking down at the plane that's loaded with the special grass seed. Pilot wearing a protective mask on his nose and mouth and you see the plane dropping the seed on to the burned out forest. | |
