| Description: | FRAGMENTISER (aka CAR PULVERISATION) Big new machine smashes old cars into small bits and thus creates scrap metal. Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire Opens with shots of piled up wrecked cars; lots and lots of them. A poor sad-looking car in center screen; holes where headlights were like big eyes; truly a pathetic sight. Big metal claw grabs a car and lifts. Driver of claw contraption in cab. Car swinging from crane; dropped into Fragmentizer. Car sucked into machine. Man controlling Fragmentizer by computer. Lid comes down and smashes car. Motor; other parts of machine; bits of metal come pouring out, up a conveyor belt to drop into dumpster. Two men stand by top of belt; watching scrap metal pouring off it. Closer shot of small crumpled shreds of metal dropping into bin; oddly looking almost like flora. | |
