| Description: | FRAMER IN THE PICTURE Process of picture framing is shown in shop near Chelsea. Near Chelsea, London. M/S exterior of cafe, a painter goes inside and shows the proprietor, Mr Tanous, his painting. He takes him through to the back of the shop where he also runs a picture framing business, they find a suitable frame for it and shake hands. Various shots of the framing process as the picture is measured and the framer given instructions. The mitre-cutting saw makes the joints and the edges are smoothed and trimmed on the shooting block. M/S as the edges of the frame are fastened together. Various shots as the ornate mouldings for edges and corner pieces are made in the plaster room. M/S as he holds up the finished frame. It is then lacquered and sprayed with gilt. Mr Tanous fits the painting in the frame and puts it on an easel. | |
