| Description: | French Ambassador buys his mascot from Anglo-French stall. London? M/S of French Ambassador in top hat, surrounded by ladies and a few men in the street. He seems to be showing off a little pendant he has just bought from a woman with a tray strapped over her shoulders. Then several shots of a massive military parade marching along city streets. Troops, military band and lots of crowds watching the spectacle. Sailor and a woman stand outside building with trays of pins or knick-knacks hanging over their shoulders. A woman to the left is embraced by a French (?) officer - looks like she has just given him a bouquet of flowers. Troops (Algerian?) in dark uniforms and tall caps buy mascots from the tray of a young woman (seems to be wearing traditional rural French costume with draped scarf on head). M/S of one of the soldiers posing proudly with two medals on his chest. | |
