Group of military officers and civilian men (government officials?) stand in front of iron fence looking upward, the militaires holding a salute. Low ang MS moving w French flag as it lowers. Back to wide shot over troops. MS French general (face only partially seen- - possibly Castelnau?) kisses the folded flag. Hi ang tracking shot from back of raised platform on vehicle, looking back at French Army marching band approaching on city street (many small shops w/ awnings); drums in front row; trumpet players twirling their horns; crowds of German civilians on sidewalk; some walking along beside soldiers; photographers run ahead. Pan left to get a good view of some of the people walking along beside the parade, others standing on sidewalk. Pan back to ctr. of street w/ French Army marching.
