| Description: | Promotional event; part of fundraising effort for Barts Hospital. Group of people standing on sidewalk; under banner : "Sportsmen Old/ Sportsmen New/ Back the Ballot/ So Should You". They are an odd looking bunch: a big tough guy; maybe a boxer; wearing shorts & no shirt; one in riding costume; one in white wig; a few in tophats & Edwardian coats; and some wear regular business suits; there are also 2 nurses. Shots of one of the men talking to the shirtless tough-looking guy; who is covered w/ tattoos. Next; an old-fashioned coach driving through park w/ sign on top. Following it another coach w/ a lot of these guys piled on top- -looks rather silly. Coaches stop and people descend.They and others gather round as the nurses show a tall box w/ a lot of writing on it - -for donations? It looks as if they are inserting coins given them by spectators. Medicine; health care. | |
