| Description: | GADGETS FOR EVE Various new gadgets for the home are demonstrated. United Kingdom MS side view: woman playing piano; the sheet music is on a rack which automatically turns the pages as she continues to play. MCU woman's mid-section, showing her hands on the keyboard and her left knee pushing out on a lever which sticks out just under the keyboard. CU music on rack; page turns. Back to MS of woman playing, page turning. MLS woman kneels by fireplace; she opens hinged cover over a narrow opening in front of the fire, and pulls up and unfolds a rack which has been stored folded in the floor. She hangs a towel over this rack to dry by the fire. MCU woman removes towel from rack and folds rack back into its compact storage place. MCU woman sits at desk writing while holding unlit cigarette in her mouth. She unscrews lid of fountain pen and flicks on a cigarette lighter on the end of the pen, lights cigarette. CU woman blows out flame of lighter, screws the end back on pen. MCU woman smoking and writing. MCU woman opens door of oven (made by "Stimex"?); as door opens the racks slide out a few inches. Woman pokes fork into 2 things baking in oven. Fade to CU of oven with door open, trays partway out. Woman slowly closes door, which shows the bars connecting door to trays which cause them to slide back in as the door is closed. | |
