Strathearn Place, London.

M/S of a man stood behind a bar polishing a glass. L/S of the bar, there are old fashioned posters round the front, the colour scheme is red and gold. A man walks round and goes behind the bar, he is John Hussey, the proprietor, C/U of John reading a programme for the Gaiety Theatre. C/U of the programme, there is a woman dressed as a maid on the front. The narrator explains that John has modelled this bar on the theatre to try and recapture the atmosphere. A lot of the decor, such as the mirrors, main door and pillars, came from the actual theatre. C/U of the bartender's face, C/U of his waistcoat and his hands polishing the glass. M/S of three posters on the front of the bar, two of them say 'The Orchid' and the other one says 'The Geisha'. M/S of a tableau with a fan, a pair of opera glasses, a top hat and a pair of white gloves. M/S of a man greeting an ex-Gaiety girl, 88 year old Flo Hastings. She stands up and looks at a poster on the wall saying 'The Shop Girl', she exclaims in surprise. C/U of her face as she talks to the man. M/S of a rack of champagne bottles under two shelves of glasses. There is a sign propped up against it saying 'Champagne at 1908 price 10s/- bottle'. The camera pans down to show the rack, a hand comes in and takes a bottle from it. M/S of three glasses and an ashtray on the bar, the bartender puts the bottle down next to them and uncorks it. He then pours it into the middle glass. M/S of the bartender pouring the drink for a man at the bar, he is the musical comedy star Bobby Howes. John walks over to greet him and shakes his hand. C/U of Bobby's face. M/S of a glamorous young couple drinking champagne, they are stars Sandra Dorne and Patrick Holt who are married to each other. C/U as he whispers something in her ear, she laughs and he kisses her on the nose. She laughs again and covers her face with her hand. M/S of two men coming through the door into the bar, they are Leslie Henson and Lupino Lane. Leslie Henson pretends to get stuck in the doorway. John laughs and shakes their hands, C/U of Lupino Lane, C/U of Leslie Henson. M/S of three women talking, the one in the middle is Ruby Miller, the lady on the left has her arm around Ruby's shoulders. C/U of Ruby's face as she talks and laughs. The lady on the right is the actress Margaretta Scott, C/U of Margaretta talking and laughing. M/S of the bartender pouring champagne, he walks off and a lady at the bar tops her glass up. The party is going on in the background. M/S of a man talking to two women, he is Laurie Lupino Lane and the lady on the right is the Pantomime girl Dorothy Ward. C/U of Dorothy talking, C/U of Laurie talking and laughing. M/S of the bar, the American comedian Alan Young is putting ice in his drink and talking to a young woman. M/S from a high angle of two glamorous young women chatting, the camera pans over to show Sandra Dorne smoking a cigarette, she is talking to another woman. Sandra points to a poster on the wall and then to the bar. L/S of the party in full swing, M/S of a man stood in the middle with a tray of food.
