| Description: | Entertainment. Princess Pat and other ladies; CUs; Pat is given flowers. Then they sit in rows of seats outside in the garden of St. James Palace and wait for the entertainment. The entertainers come slowly walking/dancing across the lawn in a procession of flowing fabrics and modern dance. Closer shot of girls in sheets tied round themselves and with arm movements that are supposed to be like harem girls; dance of the 7 veils and all but also sort of bring to mind the Hula. Tall guys with big swords. More women in veils; carrying baskets on their heads or waving long fans. CU a few of the entertainers pose-- a sheik kisses one of the girls. Includes shot looking over heads of the audience at dancers performing ; w/ "Sheik" and his court seated in BG on a dais. (This is like the Arabian Nights come to life. Believe this actually pre-dates the movie "The Sheik" and the whole craze over that in the 20s.) | |
