Holland Park, London. L/S of model walking through a London in sweater and trousers walking down street. MS she walks through open doorway; inside one can see portrait photos on wall. MS model poses for female photographer in studio; other woman enters then walks out of picture. The photographer who is in a wheelchair, wheels herself forward to the model. MCU photographer. adjusting model's clothes; then holds up light meter, wheels back toward cam. She uses a camera on a special low stand and other equipment has been invented and made for her by a cousin. MCU model posing, leaning back with chest sticking out. Cut to MCU photographer focusing. Shots of model posing. Then a second woman model comes in and the 2 models move a piece of furniture. The second model poses; photographer 'arranges' her. MCU model poses. MCU photographer putting plate in camera, wheels around to side of camera to make adjustments to focus etc. Cuts between shots of photographer and model smiling as model poses and photographer takes pictures. Delia contracted Polio in the South of France 4 years before this film was made. Models featured include Susan Denny and Ellyn Brown - nice cheesecake shots of them posing. Narrator ends by observing that it is hard work for Delia but "a triumph for a girl who wouldn't be beaten." | |
