Street scene: 4 - 5 story walk-ups line the street; a few men walk past, street sweeper (this looks like quite a job since the street looks unpaved!) automobiles parked or driving, Jefferson Jail in BG in next block. Closer shot of Jefferson Jail. Artist's studio interior: MLS young woman poses standing on a stool while 2 other young women draw her. MCU one of the artistes w/rather messy short chopped hair and a blouse of a wild modern fabric. MCU model looking rather haughty; she wears sleeveless knit top w/a small symbol - a dark circle w/wavy lines across it vertically - looks like a spaceship uniform except there weren't any then. MCU other artist drawing. MCU duck on a leash walking round corner of door and toward camera; at first one can't see who holds the other end of the rope. Then legs enter belonging to the person holding the duck's leash - a girl w/clunky shoes and a fur coat. LS the artists see their friend and wave, get up to greet her. MLS the artists greet her and another friend in the doorway, pet the duck, etc. MCU petting duck. Duck's owner sets it on a table; then the first artist brings over two Siamese cats! CU duck honks at the cats & steps forward - they jump backward. MLS artist sits painting; duck sits at rt., flaps his wings. MLS looking through doorway of small apartment bathroom where the duck is swimming in the bathtub. Closer shot of the happy duck in the tub flapping his wings and paddling his feet, etc. Shot looking nearly straight up a large sign sticking out from building reads vertically "County Fair". Fade to interior shot of night club, w/couples on the dance floor which is surrounded by a fence and has strings of pennants hanging over it - truly like they are livestock in a tent at the fair. Next, several young women compete in a tricycle race around the outside of the dance floor; the band leader and another man trot around inside the fence giving encouragement.
