Strange hair styles from Rene - -some have various items incorporated into the hair-do - -feathers, flowers. Then there's a Playing Cards Theme Quartet of hairstyles with each one styled into the shape of a suit of cards. M/S of a model seen against a red velvet backdrop. C/Us of her upswept hairdo as she turns her head so we can see the 'do' (looks quite 60s'); the hair seems to be lacquered within an inch of it's life, with a silver-pink tint, and the large upswept curls are held in place by some curled pink feathers. Commentator tells us this new hair do is by Mayfair stylist René. C/U of a brunette's upswept chignon held in place by a geometric white feather headpiece. Model turns her head to show us the style. She wears a huge fluffy fur collar. C/Us of blonde model with another upswept hairstyle; this one rather larger than the first two. In the center of the front of the hairdo is a posy of violets; a violet tulle veil comes over the girl's face; it is attached on top of the 'do' and comes down over the back of her hair. Very pretty, it looks rather 1940s'. Commentator says Rene's "masterstroke, his inspiration for the year, is the 'trump line'", as we see C/U of a model holding a card showing the ace of clubs over a kind of lattice screen; tilt up to show her hair in a 'club' shape. C/U of the waves in her hair, one on each side and one over the top of her head. C/U of a model holding the ace of hearts before her eyes; she is wearing a red eye-mask with white trim. She removes the card and the eye-mask at the same time to show her 'heart' hairdo; quite bouffant and highly back combed. Bizarre C/U of a model with head tilted down, holding a large feathered eye-mask over her face; she has a small feathered crown, resting on a large feather diamond on her hair; she licks her glossy lips before taking the mask away and lifting her head to smile at us. She turns her head; C/U of her hair and feathers; the 'prong' of each golden crown feather has a pearl on it. C/U of a model whisking a black fan and the ace of spades card away from her face; this brunette's hair is all teased upwards to a point on top of her head. She doesn't look too happy about it.
