This was one of the 9 short films included in the first public screening by cinema pioneers Louis-Jean and Auguste Lumiere, on 28th December, 1895 at the Grand Cafe on Paris Boulevard de Capuchines. France Here is the basic plot: Gardener is watering lawn. 2 young boys sneak up behind him; stand on the hose; blocking the water. The gardener looks into hose to see what the problem is & the boys jump off; causing water to squirt out and soak the gardener. | |
