Description:HERE COMES THE BRIDE Wedding customs from around the World are recreated by actors and a cartoon. A look at wedding customs from across the globe.

Various shots of children having a mock wedding in a garden. They are wearing adult clothes so their outfits are way too big on them. The boy gives the girl a quick kiss. Shot of a cute toddler girl holding up a doll.

M/S of a real bride and groom getting into a chauffeur driven car.

Animated map of the world with an arrow pointing to Saxony, Germany. M/S procession of men and women in traditional costumes. The bride and groom are carried on chairs into the house. CU of giggly bridesmaid wearing a head-dress made of fruit.

These wedding sequences from India, Borneo, China, Africa, Tunisia and Croatia are recreated by actors on stage sets. Same actors play more than one part.

Map with an arrow pointing to India. M/S of Indian bride and groom kneeling on either side of an urn. The bride's father sprinkles the couple with holy water, then places a pendant on bride and binds the couple's wrists together. Map with arrow pointing at Borneo (Indonesia). M/S of bride and groom sitting on the beach. They smoke cigars and eat nuts. A priest holds two chickens up over the couple. Map with an arrow pointing to China. M/S of bride wearing large head-piece with a veil covering her face. A female servant then carries the bride on her back and lifts her over a fire. She then kneels before her husband, he removes her veil. Map with an arrow pointing to Africa. M/S of groom offering bride a plate of cowrie shells. At first she refuses, but then accepts. Map with an arrow pointing to Tunis (Africa). Here a woman is tied to a pole with her eyes closed. Two men stand and view the woman. Map with an arrow pointing at Croatia (Yugoslavia). M/S of bride and groom giddy with love. Groom boxes woman on the ear to let her know who is boss. The man laughs and the woman smiles.

Now for an animated sequence by Joe Noble. Cartoon man reads a book entitled "Customs of Croatia". He gets hit on the head with a rolling pin. The screen reads "ClLOUT" with stars in that true animated style for representing pain. The wife appears holding the rolling pin. The caption out of her mouth reads "Old Spanish Custom".
