Various shots show a bizarre college game before spectators where a crowd of young men stand guard around the base of a large pole. Another group of men come tearing across a field towards them and try to get to the pole through the others. As a huge scuffle develops, some men try to get over the shoulders of the others to climb up the pole; the two who get there almost have their trousers torn off! (A bare buttock in a Pathetone!) Men on the ground try to pull the climbers down, according to which team they belong to. Cut to the winning man climbing up the pole, with his torn trousers taped up to spare his modesty.
