| Description: | 02:00:31:- CU of a barn's silver steel siding 02:01:09:- CU of hay on barn floor 02:01:26:- MS's and tight LS's of several gentle horses in a large pen on the farm. Some eat, some drink water from a trough. Many geldings and colts. Some great CU's of a colt sticking its nose into the camera. The cameraman asks Bill, the owner/farmer, what they used for toilet paper in the outhouses before there was toilet paper. Followed by an amusing joke and his recollections of life on the farm during the 1930's and 1940's: how he had no electricity in 1940's, how everyone had outhouses, how business was conducted with handshakes and promises and so on. Great quote about his love for God's Country, all the peace and quiet, how there's "no hippy jippy stuff goin' on" (a rap music reference?). Bill then talks a great deal about beef tongue, as a meat and delicacy, particularly the way he prepares it. Rounds it out with a story about George Steinbrenner's affection for them thanks to his cooking. Bill talks and talks while wandering about the horse pen, occasionally petting the mares and colts who seem to have quite an affinity for him. Many MS's and tight LS's of mares and colts in the large pen. 02:27:19:- CU of Bill Scott, the horse farm owner, standing in front of a trailer and some farm equipment, talking about those Bartyles and James pitchemen from some years back. 02:28:36:- CU of rust pattern on an oil can 02:28:45:- CU of chipped paint on a brown wood fence 02:29:12:- CU of rust and weather pattern of a barn's tin roof | |
