Containers are filled with water and lowered into bath of freezing salt and ammonia. The water freezes and the blocks are brought out by a crane arm, the blocks are then dipped into water of normal temperature. M/S of the blocks draining off and sliding out. Men stack them in tiers. M/S of a coke oven being stoked up, the gas from it is sealed in cylinders and frozen. M/S of coke, then chemical ice melting in the air. M/S of hydraulic press squeezing it into blocks, M/S as it is touched with hot metal rod and gives off strange whining sound. | |
