| Description: | An instructional film (late 60's early 70's?) on the do's and don'ts of being a Tupperware Hostess. A blonde woman with a helmet-like hair-do instructs Mary on how to be a good Tupperware Hostess and about problems, concerns and solutions to being a good hostess and, of course, making the sale. They are so stiff and forced it's ridiculous (and funny). There are plenty of party scenes with ladies arranged in a semi-circle and the hostess presenting her table full of tupperware. Some stills of attentive and enthusiastic party-goers and hostesses are incorporated but the best stuff is when the women gather around the tupperware table to "table shop". There is also a shot of the semi-circle of ladies, each holding a piece of tupperware. The film is divided into different sections including: "Dating" "Keeping You Car Happy" (a section about appearances and how your car is part of that); Table Shopping (a guide to getting you guests up to your table to inspect the tupperware); and "Delivery" (outlining all the steps in making a delivery). | |
