| Description: | Dramatic scenes on the Austrian border as Hungarian refugees cross to freedom. Under the cloak of darkness, they inch across a log spanning a 14 foot canal. In early dawn, they dash across marshland to safety in Austria. At the rate of 6,000 a day, they arrive to swamp relief facilities. Establishing shot - In the dark men startles a log spanning 14 fee across. One man makes it across and receives help from the Austrians. MLS - Refugees hiding in the marsh stand up when the all-clear signal is given. MS - A father is carrying his little boy on his shoulders as he makes his way through tall grass. MS to CUS - Austrian guards shouting encouragement as the Hungarian's cross the border. CUS - An entire Hungarian family crosses the border, father, mother, children and maybe grandparents.
