Hunting party gathers, greeted by Austrian film star Winnie Markus (wife of Herr Vogel). Various shots of the hunting party walking through the snowy woods. L/Ss of a deer walking through the woods. The hunters load their rifles and fire. Horses pull a wagon carrying a lot of dead deer and bears. C/Us of heads of dead deer and bears. Night shots of men blowing a horn. Several shots of the 'hunting festivities' carrying on into the night. A deer is carried along on a platform. Hunters fire their rifles. The hunters hold burning torches and stand around the numerous deer and bear carcasses. Dr Simmerstatter, Bishop of Salzburg, consecrates the day's hunting bag. More horn blowing. Commentator says: "There's something pleasing in these old hunting customs surviving in our hurried modern age".
