	Description:	Returning to Washington, DC President Eisenhower is hailed by thousands. After a few eloquent words of thanks to well-wishers at the airport, the President proceeds to the white house, through streets lined with crowds. Then, on to Gettysburg, and his farm, where Ike will complete his recuperation, while carrying on the nation's business at the 'Little White House.' Establishing shot - A crowd of more than 5,000 at Washington air port. MLS - The President and Mrs. Eisenhower disembark from the plane. MCUS - President's daughter-in-law and son greet them. MCUS - Vice President Nixon and President Hoover. President Eisenhower speaks: "President Hoover, Mr. Vice President, my very dear friends. I am deeply honored that so many of you should come down to welcome Mrs. Eisenhower and I back to Washington. Its been a little longer stay than we have planned but the circumstances you understand. I am happy that the doctors have given me at least a payroll if not a pardon and I expect to be back at my custom duties although they say, I must ease my way into them and not bull doze my way into them. To each of you that have come down of course we would like to speak personal and thank you for the honor you have done us. That is impossible and so possibly in saying ............ Thank you, we are grateful you will understand what we would like to do and you'll let the wish take the place of the deed.
