The men who are depicted are Harlon Block, Rene Gagnon, Sergeant Mark Strark, Ira Hayes, Franklin Sousley and John Bradley. The men ranged in age from 17 to the old man of the group, Sergeant Mark Strack who was 24 years old at that time.
