| Description: | In the Western Desert Various shots showing how a small desert camp reacts when one of the men is bitten by a snake, word is sent to the nearest medical center and they assemble a package for the bitten man. The serum is loaded into a container and fixed to an aircraft, the pilot flies it out to the camp and the container is dropped. The serum is rushed to the tent and the man is treated. M/S of a small squad of British soldiers marching in the desert. They come to a halt and take off their boots and socks, the Medical Officer attends to their feet for blisters and dry skin. Four soldiers laugh as they all try to cram their feet into a small bowl of water. In another part of the desert flies are a pest, a soldier brushes them off his face as he tries to sleep. To cut the number down a 'Fly Squad' has been formed. Indian soldiers carry out round wire baskets and place some bad meat into each. They are set out and left for four days. Various shots of them full of flies. They are tipped and shoveled into big containers and burnt. | |
