| Description: | See catalog # 108739 for complete story INDOOR GYPSY CAMP Romany food and entertainment at a Gypsy party at London's Mount Royal Hotel. M/S of two men and a woman sitting around a camp fire; the woman stirs a cooking pot hanging over the fire; they are all dressed in gypsy costume. A young girl comes in and sits by the fire and the men talk and gesticulate. The woman passes a ladle of soup for one of the men to taste; he has a pointy moustache, a golden earring and a woven scarf around his head; he waggles his head around to say the soup is OK (I think!). C/Us of the soup cauldron as the woman stirs; the young girl laughing. C/U of a hand-written sign saying 'Madame Vera - Fortunes'. M/S as a lady and man in evening clothes enter Madame Vera's tent; Madame Vera waits in headscarf and gypsy clothes before her crystal ball. The man walks on as the lady sits opposite Madame Vera and giggles as her fortune is told; good news presumably. Commentator tells us the Gypsies were at London's Mount Royal Hotel for a party featuring the gypsy. M/S of a hanging flower basket; panning left to show a sign above a tent entrance reading 'Tinker's Haven'. | |
