| Description: | INSPECTION AND COLOURS Several L/Ss of lines of troops marching over dusty land. Officers and officials watch the march past from quite a distance away. Could be French colonial troops. L/S of soldiers on horseback escorting horse-drawn open carriage past lines of troops standing to attention. More L/Ss of parade (weren't we allowed to get any closer?). Horses pull carts along, carrying soldiers and guns. Lots of dust is beaten up as cavalry ride quickly by. Armoured vehicles drive by. Closer shots show presentation of colours to and by colonial troops and French (?) soldiers / officers. Senior officer presents medals and sashes to others. Horse-drawn open carriage brings officers and civilian man in top hat to the proceedings. They get out. More shots of presentation of colours (flags) to troops. Officers stand around watching. | |
