L/S of the main street, there are a variety of vehicles riding up and down including cars, bicycles and a horse and trap. There is a banner strung between two buildings saying 'Killarney Races'. L/S of crowds sat under the stands at Killarney racecourse, other people are walking about in front of it. M/S of a row of bookmakers taking bets, the nearest one has a sign saying 'John Murphy' and the one behind is 'Alf Hogan'. L/S of the racecourse with the hills in the background, the horses are being walked round the enclosure and the crowds are standing round the outside. M/S of a man waving the starting flag and the horses beginning to race, the camera follows them up the course. M/S of the crowd watching the race, one man is looking through binoculars. L/S of the horses jumping over a fence, M/S as they race past the camera and down the course. M/S of two horses and their foals in a paddock, M/S of horses and foals. M/S of four horses, one is feeding from a bucket held by groom Charlie Kelly. C/U of the foal which was sired by 'Tulyar'. C/U of Charlie's face. The Assistant Manager of the stud, Donald Magee, comes into the yard carrying two bottles of stout. He puts one down by the bucket and pours the other one in. C/U of Preciptic looking on. C/U as the top is taken off the bottle of stout and poured into the feed, C/U of Donald's face. L/S as he picks the bucket up and gives it to Vimy. C/U of Vimy eating from the bucket.
