| Description: | IT HAPPENED IN HOLLAND Dutch traditional costumes, filmed at some sort of festival. MS 3 women stand talking in street. MCU another woman who wears a fabulous hat - looks like paper folded into a cock's comb and stuffed w/roses. MLS 6 smiling women pose in a row, wearing identical (or nearly so) skirts, shirts, bonnets, etc. Series of shots of women wearing various wild headgear- -things like huge pancakes and big circular lacy mantilla type things; they are shot in groups by type of hat and dress (which I would assume identifies them as coming from a specific area). But the shots are of natural-looking scenes rather than stiff posed portraits. One of these shots has an elderly man clowning around amidst group of laughing women. Shots of a parade: boys playing accordians as they march. But in this shot there's a sign in the parade which can't be seen well but which ends w/"Zurich" - -so is this actually Switzerland instead? Then little girls also play accordians, standing in place in the street. Finally children and adults in the traditional national costumes walk along the cobblestoned street past the crowd of spectators. | |
