| Description: | JERRY THE TROUBLESOME TYKE - THE JOY PROVIDER Animation featuring that naughty dog Jerry - this week he delivers Christmas presents. It seems that shots in this animation are out of order. Should be in the order indicated by bold numbers in brackets. i) Exterior of a house covered with snow. Jerry suddenly comes flying through the door and somebody shouts (in a speech bubble) "This is a workhouse, not a dog's home!" Jerry shouts back "You can keep your 'Xmas pudding!!" He walks around the corner to the back of a house and says: "I wonder if they'll take pity on me here!" He looks through the window. There is a man sitting by the fire shaking his head. He says: "I'm broke! It looks like a tough 'Xmas for the kid!" iii) The ghostly figure leads Jerry around a curtain where he finds Father Christmas with a broken leg sitting with his foot on a stool. He beckons to Jerry saying: "I've got the gout! What are we going to do about the toys?" He has an idea (thinking of the poor man he has seen earlier) "I'll take the toys!" he yells. v) The poor man is sitting by the fireside when first a sack and then Jerry come down the chimney. "You won't have a tough Xmas now!!" says Jerry. "Hooray!" yells the kid. ii) We see Jerry out in the snow again looking through the window saying: "I must do something for the kid!" He walks up to a doorway and has an idea. He pulls a book of carols from his pocket. He starts singing. Someone drops a pot on his head: "I hope you burn your turkey!!" he shouts. He tries singing somewhere else. The moon frowns then turns away. He steps into the house, the door slams. The clock strikes twelve and ghosts suddenly start to fly around the room. Jerry gets scared and runs up the stairs but he slides down again. He fights with some ghosts. One ghost appears and tells Jerry to follow him. The ghost disappears through the front door but Jerry bangs his head when he tries to do the same. Jerry follows the ghost in the snow. They disappear into a snowy castle. iv) Father Christmas suddenly comes driving out in a sleigh (it is Jerry in a Father Christmas outfit). He flies in the sky on his sleigh dropping presents. We see Jerry just about to go down a chimney. | |
