Jerry (a cartoon dog) is poisoned by indelible ink. Sid rushes to the doctor for medicine to save him. Begins with a shot of Jerry running along in a park - there is real action footage behind him. M/S of the artist Sid Griffiths having a snooze beside an easel with a piece of paper attached. We see Jerry running along again. He says: "Me for home and a good dinner!" Sid wakes up and rubs his eyes. Words appear on the screen: "Jerry's dinner time, I'll give him some bones." Sid draws a bowl of food and a plate of bones. He looks at his watch. Words appear: "He should be here by now." Sid goes outside on his front doorstep to call for Jerry. Jerry appears and runs up the steps. He approaches the plate of bones, holds his stomach and licks his lips. He begins chomping on a bone. Sid sits at his desk. He picks up a bottle of ink. C/U showing the label: "Indelible Ink. Poison." He says: "Jerry! You're Poisoned!" Jerry looks shocked and faints. Sid says: "I must do something to save him." He rushes out of the front door putting his coat on. He runs to the Doctor's house. There is a sign outside which says: "Dr Dope." A nurse answers the door and Sid runs in. He emerges with medicine. He runs home and sits at the drawing board. He draws a funnel which is stuck in Jerry's mouth. Drops of medicine are poured into the funnel. Jerry is revived. He makes a face which suggests the medicine tasted horrible. "Your cure is worse than the POISON!!" Sid shakes his fist at him and yells: "You ungrateful tyke!!" He then tears the piece of paper that Jerry is on and screws it up into a ball. C/U of Sid's hands as he screws the paper up. "The End" title.
