Description:JERRY THE TROUBLESOME TYKE - WEATHER OR NOT Jerry has fun on board ship - slapstick stuff including a chase. Animation

A tin can bounces along the road. It is attached to Jerry's tail. "Five miles, and I haven't gained an inch!" reads an intertitle. Jerry looks behind at the can. Jerry runs through a hole in a fence but the tin can is too big to follow him through. Jerry runs on the spot until the string snaps. Jerry rolls along until he hits a cleat on the quayside. He looks at his tail and wags it to make sure that it is still working OK. He looks at the boat which is attached to the cleat: "Here's a chance, I'll stowaway!" Jerry walks up the gangplank. "A few days later." Jerry sticks his head out of a funnel. He jumps out and sticks his tongue out. "If I don't eat soon I'll be a skeleton!" Jerry has a wander and walks through an open door. We see his head sticking out of an open door next to the door to the kitchen. A string of sausages is hanging down. Jerry spots them and his nose wiggles. He grabs the sausages and runs off. A black chef looks out of the door and scowls. He has a knife in his hand. he runs after Jerry and a chase ensues. Jerry jumps through a funnel with the sausages in his mouth. A sailor sits at a table reading a book and smoking a pipe. Jerry falls onto the table and a big star appears and fills the screen. Flashing stars fill the screen. Jerry looks dazed and tries to get up from the table. The chef's legs hang out of the funnel, he obviously can't get inside. The sailor picks Jerry up by the scruff of the neck and shakes his fist at him. "Stowaway, eh? I'll show you what we do with stowaways!!" He waves his fist. Jerry next seen on the deck of the ship swabbing the deck with a mop. He is wearing a cute sailors outfit and real sea is seen behind him. Jerry gets annoyed and throws the mop. He says: "Dirty weather! I'm off." He runs away. Interior of the engine room. A man with a large beard is having a snooze with his feet up. An indicator is pointing to the word "Storm". Jerry walks in and pulls a lever so that the indicator points to "Calm." A ship on rough seas is seen, then a ship on a flat sea with the sun shining. Jerry puts his thumb on his nose and wiggles his fingers in the direction of the bearded man and walks off. Jerry flies through some clouds which have a sign reading "Clerk of the Weather" sticking in them. He lands on the deck of the ship and shakes hands with the captain. The captain calls the cook who presumably takes Jerry off for a feast. Jerry winks.
