| Description: | You know about solemn races in skiing, but this is a Kayak solemn and the rapids of the Wild Roar River provide plenty of challenge for all competitors who come from six countries to test their paddling skills. Oops! An over-turned craft is nothing new during the day’s daring due because this particular section of the roar is famous for its swift and treacherous current. Though a sudden dunking is standard operating procedures for these lads. The rapids also make it tougher to steer and balance the Kayak, a difficult assignment under ordinary conditions in calm waters let alone in crashing angry streams, such as this. Competitors driven to the wall need a helping hand. Bon Voyage, don’t forget to write. Another racer takes a spill, but this fellow here has done some homework, he’s automatic pop up type. Once more a crafty Kayaker bites the dust or rather hits the foam but he’s ok, and still in the swim of things… Establishing shot - A two man Kayak going down stream on some pretty turbulent white water. CUS - The two Kayakers come down a short fall and have to work real hard to make the turn around the first pole that’s a marker in the water. High Angle Shot - The Kayakers come down another small falls and slam the front of the Kayak into a huge rock. High Angle CU - From the force of the white water the two Kayakers are dumped into the icy cold water MS - A single Kayaker comes down the river and he’s really traveling fast, he drops down about 4-feet and makes his way towards the poles (gates) in the water. High Angle CU - Another racer takes a spill but this time this racer rights himself up. MS - A Kayaker gets out of his Kayak and swims away. Good job. | |
